Kenese – The Beginning
Lumana'i – The Future
Fa'amoemoe – Hope
Ta'ita'i – Leaders
At LE ALA Movement, every student begins a journey of growth through faith, culture and movement.
Our four learning pathways are designed to meet students where they are, developing confidence, character and a deeper understanding of Siva Sāmoa as they grow.
Each pathway provides opportunities to learn, embrace and connect with our culture throughout the year.
Every journey begins with God.
"Every strong foundation begins with the first step."
Named after the first book of the Bible.
Kenese (Genesis) represents the beginning of every student's journey.
This is where strong foundations are formed. Through fun, encouraging and age-appropriate learning, our youngest students are introduced to the beauty of Siva Sāmoa while developing fundamental skills, coordination and positive class habits.
Students will learn:
Basic Siva Sāmoa movements, posture, and technique
Rhythm and coordination
Christian values such as kindness, love and respect, alongside positive class behaviour
Confidence through movement
Age-appropriate Sāmoan language and cultural understanding
We prepare for the future God has planned.
"Today's learners become tomorrow's leaders."
As students grow, they begin to explore Siva Sāmoa with greater confidence, developing their understanding of culture, storytelling and their contribution to the group.
This stage encourages students to become more confident in their identity, abilities and contribution to the group.
Students will learn:
Intermediate Siva techniques
Choreography and performance skills
Cultural stories and traditions
Teamwork and leadership
Confidence and self-expression
We live with hope and purpose.
"Lead with faith. Serve with purpose."
Our youth programme encourages students to refine their technique, grow as leaders, and become positive role models within LE ALA Movement and their communities.
Students will focus on:
Advanced choreography
Performance excellence
Cultural knowledge and storytelling
Leadership opportunities
Mentoring younger students
Living with integrity, humility, and purpose
Discipline and creative expression
We become leaders who serve and guide others.
"Leading by example, serving through faith and culture."
Our adult pathway welcomes performers of all experience levels into a supportive community where growth, leadership and service continue beyond the classroom. Students can continue developing in Siva Sāmoa while strengthening their cultural knowledge, confidence and ability to contribute to the wider community.
Students will have opportunities to:
Develop and refine Siva Sāmoa technique
Develop performance skills and explore performance opportunities

Mentor younger generations
Serve through community performances and productions
Develop as future tutors and leaders within LE ALA Movement
